Rory may look like a villain.. but he’s fighting to live

Edit: Blood tests have come back and they think he may have Addisons disease. An extemely rare with only 40 cases documented ever. He has low sodium and high potassium but his other levels quite quite normal. The test for this ill be £250. With on going care he might be able to live a decent life. This will be on top of the extentisve dental treatment needed.

Costs so far have been:

£130 for the blood tests

£50 for the consultation fee.

Hoping to get £250 for the Addisons disease test if possible. Will add proof as soon a I get it

We’re a disabled couple, and when my partner first got Rory, he was in good health and had a stable career. Sadly, everything changed when he was suddenly struck by a chronic illness, and we now live on a very limited income.

Rory, our cat, has been an absolute force of nature ever since he arrived. He’s brilliant, stubborn, incredibly demanding, and full of personality.

Recently, Rory started vomiting multiple times a day. We took him for a vet consultation, and we were told that treatment could cost up to £1,000 if he’s well enough to undergo surgery. Unfortunately, he’s currently too unwell for the operation, and the vet won’t proceed without a full blood test to make sure it’s safe for him. That blood test is booked for tomorrow morning and will cost £140.

We’re asking for help to cover the cost of the blood test and, if he's well enough, the surgery that could save him.

If we raise more than is needed, or if the operation sadly isn’t possible, all additional funds will be donated to Fylde Coast Cats, a wonderful local charity here in Blackpool that goes above and beyond for the cats in our community.
