Help Rory on his journey with cancer.

NEW UPDATE:
Again thank you for all your support both financially and through prayers, positive thoughts and sharing this post.
I am starting this fundraiser again and am currently working on doing a bowling and a spaghetti fundraiser. This does take a village and we are forever grateful for any and all help.
Rory is still awaiting disability to start. However, they will be taking taxes and child support and it is not going to be enough to cover his monthly expenses.
We take a 2 hour drive every two weeks for Rory to receive his treatment. He is currently on a research study with Chemo as the first line treatment did not prove positive results. He is thriving the best he can with this research treatment. He will be getting a CT Scan Friday to see results from this round and will be advised on next step of battling this terminal disease.
If you can help him by donating even 20.00 (that will cover 1 trip to U of M hosital) to help eliminate the stress of bills we will again be forever grateful.
Thank you, God Bless and much love to you all. ❤️
As always, please keep Rory in your prayers, positive thoughts and sharing this update.
UPDATE:
First I want to say thank you to everyone who has reached out, donated and shared. We are extremely grateful and humbled.
As of this moment I am sitting next to Rory at U of M, Ann Arbor. He just completed his trial of his new chemo treatment and is getting an IV For dehydration which the chemotherapy caused.
He is struggling with having to drive out to Ann Arbor once to twice every 2 weeks for treatments and for follows ups for the treatment that he is receiving. As most of you know Ann Arbor is a hike, a 3 hour drive time for each visit.
He sadly just had car issues and has had to put his vehicle in the shop and is relying on others for transportation to and from his appointments, and is in need of help to get his vehicle back on the road and to make these appointments. While also staying afloat of medical bills and other daily/ monthly expenses.
Every donation helps make his journey easier for him and his family. Any amount is greatly appreciated! Thank you to anyone that can contribute and please share. Again, we are forever grateful. Love and blessings to all
(Orgial post )
My 34 year old nephew, Rory, was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer on February of this year.
In January he was at a bounce house with his 3 year old son. Rory jumped with his son in the ball pit and felt a pain on his side.
He went to the doctor with this as his only symptom to find out he has stage 4 colon cancer which has already metastasized to his liver, pancreas, lungs and blood.
Rory has since undergone and completed 12 treatments of chemo as per planned treatment.
Last week he found out the chemo did shrink some of the tumors inside the liver but there is growth in the tumors in his lungs.
He now waits 4 weeks to let his body rest before starting next treatment plan. Rory was told he is terminal and will be on chemo for the rest of his life.
Rory spent his career since graduating high school as an in home caregiver to many different ages and disabilities.
Rory had to stop working due to his own illness. He has applied and approved for SSDI, however, it will not be paid until February 2024.
In the meantime Rory has no income coming in.
He lives in his own home and is a single father of his 3 year old son. Rory has all the obvious bills as you and I do. He lost his health insurance when he had to leave his job and it is very expensive per month for him. He does not qualify for Medicaid.
Although I have never done this before I have donated to many.
Today I am asking you to please help support my nephew, Rory, by donating any amount you can to help him afford his monthly bills, food and health insurance.
Thank you in advance, we appreciate you and are grateful for your help.
If you can see this please share it, my nephew needs your help.
Peace and love to all.
