Help Rosemary Recover What Was Lost In a Tragic Fire

Hello and thank you for your concern.
On the day of Rosemary's graduation, Thursday, June 6th, her heart swelled with joy as her dad surprised her with a 1982 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia. It was the vehicle of her childhood dreams. This unexpected gift left her speechless, tears of happiness streaming down her cheeks. The best gift she had ever received.
Unfortunately, last Sunday, June 23rd, Rosemary and I were on a drive to Palm Springs to celebrate a family member's birthday. As we were nearing our destination, her 1982 Westfalia Volkswagen bus went up in flames. As quickly as it was given, it was taken. Initially, we had no idea what was going on. The bus had begun to smell of smoke, and in mere seconds, it became visible. In a panic, I quickly pulled over to the right-hand shoulder, as we did, another vehicle had pulled over just in front of us. He then ran out of his vehicle alerting us that the back of our bus was on fire. The gas hose had burst and the sparks from the engine caused it to catch fire. We rushed to put out the flames with the fire extinguisher we had on board, but by the time the ground fire was put out, the fire had already spread. By that point, it was too late. Unable to put out the fire, and unable to retrieve anything from the vehicle. We were forced to watch it burn as emergency services rushed to the scene.
It all happened very quickly, it was smoke, fire, sirens, and inevitably traffic and freeway closure. Though we are extremely fortunate to make it out unharmed, everything was lost. I am here to ask for your support in helping to raise funds. We aim to replace our lost items and the vehicle. The memories were too short-lived, as it was our first weekend using the vehicle. Taking it to the beach on Friday, then to Palm Springs on Sunday.
Thank you for your time. Stay safe.
