Help Rowan fight cancer
Donation protected
I am hoping we can help Rowan and his beautiful family.
Rowan was 41 when he was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer in August 2016 (cancer was present in his bowel, liver and lung). The Doctors’ prognosis was 9 – 18 months depending on how successful the surgery would be to remove the tumour in his bowel. This surgery was successful, however the radium and surgery to remove the cancer in his liver was unsuccessful and Rowan has remained on chemotherapy for the past 5 years keeping the cancer from progressing further.
Unfortunately, chemo is no longer an option for Rowan, as his liver is no longer coping with the treatment.
Rowan and (his wife) Louise have found a possible treatment in Thailand - Veritalife Clinic in Bangkok (https://veritalife.com). This treatment is a multi-targeted approach and includes immune therapies, natural therapies, diet & nutrition and a low dose chemotherapy (that will not impact Rowan’s liver function). This clinic has successfully treated this type of cancer in the past, and is confident of a positive outcome.
Louise and the children (Beau, 10 and Lexie and Ryleigh, both 9 this year) will remain in Australia while Rowan embarks on this challenging time.
This treatment is estimated to be anywhere between 6 – 12 weeks (depending on outcomes) at the clinic in Bangkok with follow up meetings and ongoing support medications on return to Australia. The treatment in Thailand has been estimated at a cost of $120,000.
If you are able to donate, big or small, it would be greatly appreciated. This trip to Thailand might just be the answer to our prayers.
