Help Roxanne Keep her Apartment!

Some of you know my dear friend Roxanne.
Some of you have only heard of her, because she is the type of person that inspires awesome stories.
Rox and I have been best buddies for 30 some years now, and we have seen each other through thick and thin.
Please help me see her through this next life challenge.
Last spring, May 6th, Roxanne suffered a horrific accident. The vespa she rented malfunctioned, sending her careening into oncoming traffic, before flipping itself over her, crushing her.
Roxanne used to ride motorcycles, and is an accomplished rider. This was a freak accident that actually happens quite often with the rented Vespas, but of course once you click "agree" to the terms of the rental you have little to no recourse in suing the company, even through the accident was determined to be no fault of her own.
Thankfully was wearing a helmet and was the first one at the traffic light so it's just damn good luck that she is alive.
Also fortunate, there were several good Samaritans on the scene and Roxanne was quickly taken to the hospital where they ruled out head injuries and any damage to her internal organs.
However--she was totally crushed. The accident resulted in
* Bruised ribs
* Bruised sternum
* Broken toes
* Her right shoulder shattered into four pieces
* Her left tibia broken just under the knee
* And finally, her left wrist shattered in several pieces as well.

Roxanne's injuries required multiple surgeries, permanent nerve damage, and a metric crap ton of metal that now lives inside her body. Also, she spent a lengthy stay in the hospital, and an even lengthier stay in a nursing home afterward while she has to re learn how to walk and regain limited use of her left hand/wrist.

Even though Roxanne is healed, she isn't out of the woods. She has exhausted her savings, sold everything worth selling, and has been trying to find work that she physically can do all the while working her tail off in physical therapy.

She is facing permanent physical disability that has changed everything for her. Even though her bones are healed, she is still dealing with a limited capacity for lifting, walking, and even sitting.

Roxanne has applied for temporary disability assistance, state assistance, and disability.
Her case has been accepted and is in process but the Brooklyn system is currently overwhelmed and Roxanne won't be able to draw from her account until April.

Roxanne has been living on virtually nothing for the past 8 months, exhausting her savings, exhausting her saleable assets, and borrowing money just to keep the modest apartment she has lived in for the last 17 years.

So we are left with this. You all know as well as I do that any one of us could be faced with a horrible situation like this at any time. In pain after an accident, trying to do all the right things, and having to contemplate truly losing your home.

Please, donate what you can and help my dearest friend pay her bills through the end of April, when her case will be settled.

Thank you. ❤️❤️❤️
