Help Ru Receive Life Changing Surgery

Hi my name is Ru and I am disabled. I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, which has caused a fluid leak in my spine. This means I get excruciating headaches and it prevents me from doing everything and anything in my day-to-day life.

I haven’t seen my friends and most of my family for months. I’ve had to watch everyone enjoy a beautiful August from the confines of my dark room because even sitting up has become too painful now and I struggle to go outside.

Over the last few years I have worked so hard at reducing my medication intake and gaining my independence as well as improving my mental health. My CSF leak and the endless waiting for surgery on the NHS has shattered all of this. It’s gotten to the point where sometimes I don’t even feel like a real person anymore.

There’s so much I want to do in this world and at the moment I can’t do any of it.

As a last resort we have spoken to a private Neurologist who has agreed to do my surgery. As you can imagine this comes at a huge expense. If anyone has anything they can donate, be it pennies or pounds I would be eternally grateful.

Thank you to my friends, family and followers for their continued support throughout this difficult time. I can’t wait until all of this is over so I can get my life back and make content for you all again.
