Help Rural India Access Medical Oxygen Cylinders
Donation protected
The pandemic has highlighted the inequality in accessing medical infrastructure in India. The 70% rural Indian population with no constant supply of electricity, cannot use the oxygen (O2) concentrators, which need a constant power supply.
While the government is trying to ensure medical oxygen, people in rural India cannot afford heavy security amount that goes from £100 to £250 to secure one O2 cylinder.
Help us bridge this inequality in the access to healthcare deepened by this Covid-19 pandemic. We are buying as many O2 cylinders and kits as we can procure from various sellers to send to India. This will benefit largely the Bahujans, including the NT-DNT (Vimukta) communities. This is the least we can do being away from home.
Each contribution whether big or small matters. Time is running fast for many lives. This is the time to show collective strength.
We will be sending the aid directly to the remote and rural district administrations in India. We will keep you all posted on the development we make.
Please come together, contribute, spread the word, and save lives.
Note: We accept all currencies, including US Dollars (USD) and Indian Rupees (INR). You will just need to put in the converted GBP (British Pound) amount. Say, if you want to pay USD 200, then you can put GBP 142 in the box (or whatever is the present USD to GBP conversion rate). Similarly, if you want to pay INR 2000, then you can put GBP 20 in the box (or whatever is present INR to GBP conversion rate).
So, please donate generously, and share our cause and this fundraiser widely with your family, friends and colleagues. We are behind our target and your support gives us hope and strength. Collectively, I'm sure, we will win over the present oxygen crisis, particularly in rural India.
The foreign medical aid that has reached India till now won't be reaching its rural population. And, we cannot leave people in our villages and small towns without oxygen supply:
