Help Russell Recover from Heart Surgery
Donation protected
Monday, March 3rd, our dad Russell Dixon checked himself into the Siloam Springs emergency room with some chest pain. After initial blood labs were acquired, they transferred him to Springdale where they found a 99% occlusion of his left anterior descending artery (a widowmaker heart attack). After analyzing him in the cath lab, the doctors said they couldn’t repair the blockage using catheters due to the position and severity of the clot. Today at 8:25 they opened him up for a CABG triple bypass surgery. He’s currently in the SICU recovering. The doctors said he did very well, and the nurses said he could be looking at an early extubation and wake up. However, with dad being the main source of income in the house, he’ll be out a lot of money throughout recovery. On top of that, the bills following these procedures will only add to that financial stress. We started this GoFundMe to try and raise some money to cover some bills and groceries, just to help them get by. We understand the state of the economy right now. If you are unable to give, please share and keep our parents in your prayers.
