Help Rusty Get Treatment

Update: Thank you everyone for all of the love and support we have received through this difficult time. Unfortunately Rusty had to be put down this morning. His symptoms and pain reached a point of no return. This has been unbelievably tragic and we will appreciate continued support. 

Hi, my name is Emily and my sisters (Adriane, Rachel, and I) are fundraising on behalf of my dad Jeff and his 4 month old puppy Rusty. Rusty is a clumsy, fun, loving Red Retriever puppy who recently started displaying some signs as to what is presumed to be a neurological disorder. The signs started and progressed over the course of two days. On April 4th my dad took Rusty to his veterinarian where all of his tests came back with normal levels. Later in the evening his symptoms continued to worsen so we took him to an emergency vet clinic. As of right now they are unsure of what is actually wrong but his symptoms of lethargy, teeth chattering, disorientation, and circling are leading them to believe that it is neurological and will require further testing to determine.

 

My dad lost his 16 year old dog Cole who was his best friend in March. We got him Rusty as a way to cope and heal from the pain of losing a family member. My dad already loves Rusty so much and that’s why we will do whatever it takes to get him the tests and treatments he needs. This is why we need help. My dad has already paid $530 at his primary vet, $2,900 at the emergency vet, and the MRI is estimated to be $4,500. Any help we could receive would be greatly appreciated.
