Help Ruth Get a Handicap Accessible Van!

Ruth has been a paraplegic since June of 2009 due to a tragic motor vehicle collision. She lives on her own and has worked hard to lead a fairly independent life. Like many of us, Ruth’s main source of independence is her vehicle. Ruth drives a modified handicapped accessible van that allows her to drive using her hands. As she lives out of town, it is necessary for employment as well as essential and non essential errands. Unfortunately her van ran into some unexpected problems and is not roadworthy, leaving her with an expense that is beyond her reach. A van to be modified for her needs is ~$40,000 in addition to the cost of the van. In order for Ruth to continue her employment and independence, she requires this vehicle. Any funds to help her find a new van would be immensely appreciated as she is currently housebound without one.
