About the Fundraiser:

This page has been set up to support Ryan Casey, the boyfriend of Ashling Murphy. Ashling was brutally and tragically murdered in 2022. Ryan is courageously taking legal action against the BBC for defamation, after his victim impact statement was misrepresented and his views were unfairly branded as "far right". This case highlights critical issues in media responsibility and public safety.

Purpose:

All funds raised (minus administrative fees) will go directly to Ryan to help cover his legal fees. It is important to note that this page is not affiliated with Ryan; he did not set it up. I have taken the initiative to create this fundraiser to support him during this difficult time.
