hello ! my name is ryan (they/them) and i am a 22 year old trans individual on the journey of getting gender affirming surgery under the united states medical system. i am planning on getting top surgery in november 2023, and am fortunate enough to be able to use my insurance to cover the majority of surgery costs, but i will still be left responsible for 20% of the cost as well as supporting myself financially for the five weeks after surgery i will be unable to work my manual labor job. i am raising money to offset the financial burden on myself to allow myself to have a relatively low stress recovery.

i have been out as trans for 8 years and have tried binding as well as other methods to relieve my gender dysphoria, but it is no longer sustainable for my physical and mental health. any social or financial support is extremely appreciated !
