Help Ryley, Beau and Terry through a tragic time
Donation protected
Our dear friends Beau and Terry Kemp have just found out their only son Ryley (aged 7 years old) has a terminal and inoperable brain tumour - Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma.
In moments like this, we all can’t believe the injustice of how this could happen to a small boy and a beautiful family. It is difficult to comprehend, process and deal with the news. Six weeks of radiation treatment is the next challenge in front of them. Sadly the prognosis for recovery and time with their little guy is not good. We are all not giving up hope and will continue to search for other options and treatments.
Those of you who know Ryley, know this little boy is kind, thoughtful and has the sweetest nature. He loves to swim, go camping, hang with his dog brother Hobson, play with his friends & cousins and enjoys a game of hide and seek in the dark. He is deeply loved and cherished by his parents Beau and Terry, family and anyone who knows him. We all know the struggles that Beau and Terry had to go through to conceive Ryley and as their only child, you can only imagine how utterly heartbreaking this is.
It’s difficult to know how and what to do to help in this situation, and we know it will be an extremely challenging 12 months for them. As friends of Beau and Terry, we wanted to do something that might help and support them in a small way over this period.… It’s with that in mind that we are creating this ‘go fund me’ page, with the aim for giving Beau and Terry as small bit of funds to take time off work to be up at the Brisbane Royal Children’s Hospital and to enjoy the precious time they have with Ryley. We know that funds cannot ease the burden of this pain and devastating circumstances but hopefully, a small donation we all make might just alleviate some of life’s mechanics to allow them a bit of freedom to be with Ryley and explore other treatment options.
Let’s all rally around this beautiful little family and do whatever we can to support them. We know that everyone has been affected by Covid over the last 2 years, but please make a small donation that feels right for you. All funds will go directly to Beau and Terry.
Please refrain from calling Beau and Terry and drop a text of support instead. As you can imagine they are juggling multiple medical appointments and grueling treatments over the next 6 weeks, so taking calls is a little tricky.
