Help S. Renee Clark after her Stroke

Donation protected

Dear Friends,
On Sunday, October 1, 2023, our dear friend and musical genius, S. Renee Clark, suffered a major stroke. By the Grace of God, she was at home in Atlanta when it happened and her daughter, Lene, recognized the signs and quickly called for help. She was rushed to Grady Hospital for emergency surgery, where she is still being treated. She is alert and responsive but nonetheless in critical condition.

Although Renee has health insurance, she is a performing musician and has therefore lost her primary source of income. The full extent of her prognosis is not yet known, but the road to recovery will be a long one. Renee’s household includes both her Mother and her Daughter, so the family is in need of support as they rally to care for her.

Our goal for this Go Fund Me Campaign is to raise $100,000 to help with Renee’s long-term care, loss of income, and assistance for her Mother (Renee was her Mom’s primary care-giver before the stroke).

For those of you who don’t know Renee personally, she is an Atlanta native and has been a huge part of the Music, Theater, and Church communities of our city. She studied music at Berklee College of Music, then toured for 12 years as a solo performer (piano/ vocal) across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Renee is a nationally known Musical Director, having MD’d productions at Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Theatrical Outfit, Alliance Theatre, Horizon Theater Company, Aurora Theater, 5th Ave Theater (Seattle), Alliance for New Music-Theater (DC), San Diego Repertory Theater, Olney Theater (MD), MetroStage (VA), Angus Bowmer Theater (OR), Max Bell Theater (Calgary), Atlanta Lyric Theater, Theatre In The Square, Youth Ensemble of Atlanta, Jomandi Productions, Georgia State University, Clayton State University and Clark/Atlanta University.

Renee is also member of First Congregational Church of Atlanta (UCC), where she served on the Music Ministry Team for many years alongside Rev. Dr. Dwight Andrews and Sheila Wheat. During the COVID-19 shutdown, Renee was pianist and MD, including tapping into her jazz chops with the 3rd Sunday Jazz Band. Many in the Atlanta Community will be forever grateful for her Spiritual leadership during that difficult time.

Please DONATE, SHARE, & KEEP PRAYING…..Renee’s friends and family are Forever Grateful.
In Renee’s words from her BIO: ”Big thanks to my daughter Lene and my Mother for your love and support. But of course God gets all the glory.”
