Dear friends, family, and supporters,

My name is Safira Halani, and I’m honoured to share some incredible news—I have proudly qualified to represent Team Canada at the Global Encounters Jubilee Games 2025 in Dubai, taking place from July 20th to 27th. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete in track events on an international stage, alongside athletes from over 18 countries. Representing Canada, my home city of Toronto, and the supportive community that has shaped me is nothing short of a dream come true.

For athletes competing on a global stage, the journey to success is often made possible by funding and sponsorship. Unfortunately, this path doesn’t come with that same support. That’s why I am turning to you—my community—because your belief in me has already brought me this far. I humbly ask for your help to make this dream a reality.

As a Midnight Runners Captain, City Shred Life athlete, and an active member of Toronto’s thriving fitness community, I’ve spent years dedicating myself to my craft. This opportunity to compete in Dubai isn’t just about me—it’s about everyone who has supported me, pushed me, and reminded me to keep going, even when the road felt tough.

While this journey is thrilling, it comes with significant financial costs:

Participant fee: $2,700 (Due by December 31, 2024)

Travel & Accommodations: $6,000

Additional costs: Shoes, spikes, nutrition, supplements, and continued training support
