My name is Hafsah and I am helping my friend Safi in falasteen
Please help Safi and her family with getting a tent as the weather gets harsher. See Safi's story below:
My name is Safi Halas from Gaza. I am married and have 3 children (Laila, Lynn, and Abdul Fattah). The army destroyed our house in the war and I now live in a tent that is not suitable for living. We lost our source of livelihood and were forcibly displaced from one place to another 7 times. I lost my beautiful home. All our ambitions, dreams, home, children’s education, and source of livelihood were stolen from us. We have no future, no dreams, and no shelter. We hope for your support and assistance in meeting our needs in our most basic rights.
War is very difficult. I forgot that they deprived my children of water, education, and treatment.
We got very tired from the war, from displacement to displacement, and we fled our homes because of the bombing. We did not take anything from our homes, neither clothes nor household items, nothing. My children need clothes, but we cannot buy them because of the high prices.
Our merchants in Gaza are raising the prices of clothes, food, and fruits, and we cannot always afford to buy them.
Please don’t forget me, I swear to God I am in need. My tent is not suitable for the rain and my husband and many have tried to go to institutions to support us in the tent’s awning, but they did not help us and my husband does not have money to buy the awning.
I always pray to God to give me patience for the difficult life. War is not easy. We have lost many people I know but they died because of the war.
I do not have blankets, clothes, or a tent for the winter season, and every day it is getting colder.
