Help Sal Beat Cancer

This is something I never in a million years thought I’d be writing...

On July 10th, my brother, Sal, married his long-time girlfriend, Stefanie. The following Monday they left for their honeymoon in Colorado. Sal was having trouble breathing which we thought was due to the altitude. Once he returned home he was still struggling to breathe. We took him to the hospital where they found a huge mass in his chest, a collapsed lung, and fluid around his heart and lungs. They drained the fluid out of both his heart and lungs and his body is still trying to re-inflate his lung. The very next day the Doctor called and told him to go to the hospital as they were going to admit him. Shortly after that he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL). This news has absolutely devastated our family, as Sal has always been such a healthy and fit person. As he begins his long and challenging journey to remission, he is unable to work. The hospital bills are starting to come in and it’s slowly going to become an overwhelming burden for him and his wife. I’m hopeful we can help ease some of this burden and remove some stress from his life.
