Help Salma Feed Her Children
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Basma Sharaf and I’m from Nova Scotia, Canada. Like many Canadians I’m tired of feeling helpless towards the people of Gaza who have been systematically decimated, starved, and displaced since last October. My friend, Salma Ebrahem, is a Gazan mother of two children whose husband is too physically ill to make a living ever since the family got displaced from Gaza to Rafah. As you know the situation in Rafah is catastrophic, with apartheid enforced famine already killing children. What little food is there is sold in a “black market” at exorbitantly high prices as is unfortunately usually the case in times of siege and systematic violence.
Salma’s words to me broke my heart: “My children crave food,” and because my little help is not enough, I hope that you could chip in and help out too. I will be collecting your donations and then transferring them to her through PayPal. The money will be used to buy food and diapers. Every dollar counts.
Salma’s own words to you follow:
“Hello my friends, I am Salma from Gaza. I am 25 years old. I have two daughters, Ahlam, who is 5 years old and Alma, who is 3 years old. My daughters dream, like other children, is to live in safety and to have beautiful toys. To study in a beautiful kindergarten. To have their rights like the rest of the children in the world. Today, I cannot provide food and drink for my two daughters, nor clothes. Today we are in the city of Rafah being threatened by storming by the IDF forces. We have no safe place left for me and my family to go to. I hope you will support us. All the love and gratitude to you for your love, support, and support for me and my two daughters. I am speaking to you from under the bombardment while I am in a state of fear and there is no safety in my place Help me and my two daughters survive this fierce war.”
