Please help Aden and I.

I’ve written this in my head a million times, and it’s still incredibly hard to put into words. If you’ve never had to ask for help like this, I’m truly happy for you. If you have, my heart is with you. My human side feels embarrassed and humbled. But I’m writing this from my soul, guided by my intuition and spiritual belief that this is the path forward.

Recently, on the way to baseball practice, Aden and I hit a moose. Our car was totaled. By some miracle, we weren’t seriously hurt, just shaken up. I’ll never take that for granted. I give thanks to my Dad, Joe. Our insurance is paying out fairly but I had a loan on the title. I wasn’t fully aware that it would impact the settlement the way it did. Almost all of it is being eaten up. What we lost was a paid-off 2016 Camry with 130,000 miles. It was reliable, safe, and carried us across the Northwest, to visit family in Idaho, Montana, Western Washington and to Aden’s growing list of pre-teen activities.

Some of you know my backstory, many don’t. I was injured at work in 2019 and spent six years and eight surgeries trying to stay in Veterinary Medicine. My last attempt, in August, cost me my job, my apartment, and a piece of my sense of purpose. But it also brought me here. My path was hard, confusing and felt like a full blown existential crisis. But, through all the “loss”, I discovered my gift as a Reiki Healer and my offering of Love N Light Healing was born.

My business is a fully registered LLC in Washington state. I offer energy healing and create my Healing Trees, which are sacred pieces made with crystals and driftwood I’ve collected for over 15 years. But to grow this dream, I need to get to vendors, fairs, and healing spaces.

After losing our apartment, a beautiful soul welcomed Aden and me into their home in Medical Lake, WA. It’s been an incredible blessing and we’re surrounded by water and healing energy. But we’re also far from everything. The nearest real store is 15 miles away. Most of my business opportunities are 20+ miles out. I can’t load a Reiki table or my giant Healing Trees onto a bus or a bike, so this is where my faith comes in.

I want to help heal the collective. I want to share insights that change lives and unwaveringly give back to the world that's lifted me. As a Reiki Healer, I can only be successful with you. One and one makes three. I may not be able to get us a vehicle on my own right now but I believe in the power of community. Maybe you can help. Or maybe someone in your circle can. Sharing this alone helps more than you know. I feel, through all of you, this will bring us a vehicle to call our own again.
