Help Sam and Alex Save their Home

Let me introduce you to my Nefs.
On the left is Sam and on the right is Alex. They are 16 year old identical twins who live in Derby.
Last year they passed all their GCSE’s with some of the highest results in their school and are currently studying Level 3 Creative Media with moving image and audio production at Derby College, they work hard and they love it. They have even started talking about going on to do a degree in some form of media studies.
They enjoy gaming, making funny videos and watching football, they also talk, incessantly.
At the age of 2 they were diagnosed with Type 2 Spinal Muscular Atrophy, they have never walked or sat unaided and have limited strength in their upper body, every success they have is down to their dogged determination and resilience, aided by the support of loved ones and technological advances such as their powered wheelchairs specialist equipment within the house such as special beds and ceiling track hoists. Their house of 13 years has been adapted downstairs while they have been in residence, meaning they can have a certain level of independence, separate bedrooms, an adapted wet room, doors that are wide enough for them to get through and ramps to allow them to get outdoors. But their house is rented, the landlord has decided to sell and they have a year to find a new one.
One that will allow them the same access they currently have to basic fundamental needs.
One that will allow them to have their own space.
One that is close to the local support network they have built around them.
One that also provides a space for their full time carer mum, Sarah Wilson
One that can become as much a home as this one.
Or they could stay exactly where they are.
I’ve created this Go Fund Me page for Sam and Alex to raise funds to support a new investor so they can stay where they are. They clearly can’t get a mortgage, they are after all only 16, but they do have people interested in buying the house and would like to contribute to that purchase allowing them some future security. Ultimately, there is no place like home, and this one is particularly special to these two.
