Help Sam Palmer stay in his apartment

Hi my name is Lou Manganiello, a lifelong friend of the Palmer family, I am trying to raise funds for Sam Palmer.

Sam Palmer is a lifelong resident of Hillburn, NY. He is 78 yrs old, disabled and needs to use a walker, is widowed and an Army Veteran. Sam is last member of the Palmer family still living and has no where to turn for help.

He was living with his sister Jill, they shared expenses so they could get by. Unfortunately Jill passed away on 12/13/23. Sam is now faced with paying the full rent, utilities, medical expenses, including expensive prescriptions, as well as other living expenses. His Social Security income doesn't even cover his rent. My wife Diane and I have tried to get him whatever government assistance is available, but he doesn't qualify for very much. He has applied for low income senior housing but the waiting list is up to three years. In the meantime we would like to raise as much money as possible to keep him in his current apartment, otherwise he has nowhere else to go.

Sam and the Palmer family were always generous and ready to help anyone. He needs your help now, so please help Sam stay in his apartment and donate anything you can (any amount helps) until the senior housing is available.

Also please share with anyone and everyone you know so we can be successful in keeping this Veteran and long time community member in the place he considers his home. If we can reach 10 thousand people and each person donates 1 or 2 dollars Sam can stay in his apartment for a year.
