Help Sam, Tim and their 2yo Recover After Altadena Fire

Last night, our dear friends Sam, her husband Tim, and their 2-year-old son lost their home and all of their belongings in the devastating Eaton Fire in Altadena. Unfortunately, they didn’t have renters insurance, and both are currently unable to work.

Tim is a talented Prop and FX Designer/Character Designer in animation, and Sam has been a dedicated yoga teacher in the Touchstone climbing community for over a decade. They’ve both poured their hearts into supporting the people around them, creating connections, and being a source of positivity for so many.

Now, they need our help. Losing everything is unimaginable, and starting over while navigating the challenges of parenting a young child only adds to their hardship. Let’s come together as a climbing community—and as friends—to support this incredible family during this difficult time.

Any contribution, big or small, will help them cover essential needs and create a fresh start as they navigate this overwhelming loss.

My name is Rikki, and I’m a friend of Sam and Tim’s as well as a fellow member of the Touchstone community. I’ve been in touch with Sam, and while they’re still processing this loss and figuring out where to begin, I offered to step in and help coordinate support. All funds raised will go directly to Sam and Tim to assist with the many costs they’re facing.
