Help Samah & Ahmed evacuate Gaza!

Samah is a family member who is unsafe due to the ongoing war and this fundraiser is for her family. Samah's story is:

"My name is Samah. I am engaged. I live in Gaza, El-Bureij camp.

My story is as set out below. As any couple, we have dreamt of living happily and peacefully together, so we have enthusiastically built our apartment to live in it together.

We have tried our best to collect the amount of money, and my fiance has borrowed some money from his friends. We faced an uphill struggle to be able to build our apartment. Unfortunately, the war broke out and all our plans changed completely.

First of all, my fiance and I have decided to have an engagement party on 19th, May 2023. Everything was fine. Suddenly, an escalation occurred in Gaza, so we canceled the party respecting our martyrs.

After some months, our wedding date have been set for 8th, October. I made "Henna" which is a party for the bride on 5th, October. And my fiance made "Sahra" which is a party for the groom on 6th, October. Unluckily, happy moments weren't completed. The war broke out, and my uncle, his wife, and his children were martyred. My fiance's cousins were martyred as well. They are innocents, but the blatant aggression has killed them in cold blood. As a result of what happened, our wedding has been delayed.

Moreover, our apartment was exposed to missiles so it became uninhabitable. My fiance was looking for an apartment for rent, but he didn't find it because the people who live in north Gaza have decamped to our camp which is in the middle of Gaza. After that, my camp was exposed to an invasion by the Israeli occupation forces, so my family was trapped between life and death. I left my home to go to Deir El-Balah camp with my family, whereas my fiance went to El-Zwaida camp with his family. We were separated and we lost contact with each other for many days because of the absence of the Internet. After that, we evacuated to Rafah. There we suffer from imminent danger, bombing, lack of food, water, medicine, high food prices, sewage, absence of the Internet.

As a result of that invasion, our apartment was exposed to missiles again. Also, a fire broke out in our apartment. Our furniture, clothes, belongings, and the bride's clothes were burned. In addition, the place I have worked in got bombed. I have worked as an English trainer in an institution, knowing that I got a small salary which was approximately 100$ per month.

The place where my fiance worked got bombed as well. He has worked as a basketball referee and he got a low salary as well.

In light of current events, we couldn't get married because we didn't have a shelter to live in. Also, we didn't have jobs to earn money. We are keeping our fingers crossed that the war will end very soon."
