Help Samantha in her Motorcycle Accident Recovery

Hi, My name is Jessica and I'm fundraising for my younger sister, Samantha.

My sister has been riding motorcycles for the past year. Last Saturday, September 9th, she planned a ride with a group of friends.

Her and her friends met up and started their ride out to route 211. On the way out to their destination she lost control of her motorcycle.

She was flown to the UVA hospital to their trauma icu department. Her injuries include a shattered/fractured femur, fractured pelvis, injured spine, and torn shoulder. We've been informed that she will receive a rod and screws in her leg along with a plate in her pelvis. She has a long road ahead of her and rehab is projected to take at least 6 months.

Unfortunately, this means that she will be unable to work and afford her townhome and normal day to day things. She is a college student and she is expected to graduate with honors from RMC in 2024. She also works part-time at a gymnastics gym as a coach.

My family will try to support her as much as we can, however, we are unsure if we will make enough to support ourselves and her. I am a first time mom who is a daycare teacher so I make minimum wage. Our mother lives in another state which makes it hard for her to help out.
