Help Sama’s Family Survive and Rebuild

Hi everyone,

My name is Wisaam Saleem and I'm from New York. I'm creating this fundraiser on behalf of Sama Mahmoud Ahmed Abu Rida and I plan to send the donations to her directly.

Sama is currently living in Palestine along with the rest of her displaced family in a refugee community:

Before the war, Sama and her family lived a peaceful life - Sama and her siblings were all studying in school to become educated and achieve their own goals. Sama's mother and father ran a clothing store that her mother owned.

Since the war started, their lives have been utterly wrecked. Sama's father is being held hostage by IDF occupation forces and his whereabouts are unknown. She and her family have not seen their father in weeks - they don't even know if he's alive. As I have mentioned, she and her family are living in a tent community along with other displaced Palestinians. For the past few months, they have been surviving off of small diets limited to bread, water, and non-perishables. Matters are made worse by the fact that they have no electricity or proper shelter in the sweltering and exhaustive heat of Gaza.

She and her family are trying to raise money to continue surviving. The price for basic necessities - food, water, and shelter - has risen astronomically in Gaza. With your help, Sama and her family have a chance at continuing their lives and returning to some semblance of normalcy. Sama and her siblings hope to continue their education, find their father, and help their mother rebuild her clothing store.
