Help Samira Achieve Her Educational Dreams

About the Fundraiser:
My name is Masouda Qasimi, and I am fundraising for my sister, Samira. I am an Afghan student currently pursuing my master’s degree at Arizona State University. Like many Afghan women, I had to leave my home country to pursue my education and build a future. Now, I am doing everything I can to help my sister follow the same path. Samira has been accepted to Lynchburg University in the U.S.; the land of opportunities, but she still needs financial support to cover her remaining expenses. I believe in her potential and am committed to helping her achieve her dreams.
About Samira Qasimi:
My sister, Samira Qasimi, is a 19-year-old girl from Afghanistan who has faced unimaginable challenges due to the Taliban’s oppressive regime. Despite these obstacles, Samira has remained determined to continue her education and build a future for herself. When the Taliban took over and closed schools for girls, her dreams of studying and becoming independent were shattered. Yet, she refused to give up. Samira found a way to secretly attend an English language school, risking her safety every day to pursue her education. Her resilience and bravery led her to secure admission to Lynchburg University in the United States, a rare opportunity that offers her a path to the future she has always dreamed of.
While Samira has been fortunate to receive a scholarship that covers her tuition, she still faces significant financial challenges. The cost of travel to the United States, housing, food, and books remains beyond what our family can afford. Without this crucial financial support, she may lose the opportunity to pursue her education and, with it, the chance to empower not only herself but also other Afghan women in her community.
Your support in helping my sister achieve her dreams will have a profound impact. By contributing to this campaign, you are not only assisting her in overcoming these financial barriers but also standing with Afghan women who continue to fight for their right to education and freedom.
