Help Sammy get needed medical treatment

My dear friend Leah, a single mother with 2 amazing sons. The older son, Sammy has autism. He has recently developed a complication called PANS (pediatric acute neuropsychiatric syndrome). The condition has caused significant unrelenting suffering for the whole family. PANS has caused uncontrolled outbursts due to the discomfort he is coping with resulting in him to bang his head against the walls while he yell's and scream's in agony at the top of his lungs. It has caused Leah issues with her neighbors complaining of the noise and trying to get her evicted with the landlord, police being called, trips to the ER, and Sammy's younger brother who has become scared of his brother. For the past few months, all the family members are under significant stress and lack of sleep.

Sammy currently has an amazing doctor who specializes in Autism and has been trying different therapies. Some are covered by Insurance, but many are not. The condition requires lots of expensive lab tests that are not covered by insurance. Leah has already spent nearly $10k of her own money, and was already living check to check. So this has just put her in deeper debt. The tests and therapies required to get him back to normal are likely to be around $25k and she just has no option or way to help get him this care. She has been very hesitant to let me start this Gofundme for her, and it has taken me weeks of convincing her to allow this. Please do what you can anything at all is appreciated.
