THE GOOD NEWS: We have found a lawyer we feel will do a good job representing Sam and who has agreed to take his case!
THE GOAL: Our goal is set at $5,000, the cost of the lawyer to represent him starting now and including his preliminary hearing. This GoFundMe is specifically for the lawyer’s initial fees, so look out for other fundraisers created later to address additional legal fees, bail, support programs, etc. Anything we raise beyond $5,000 will go toward these other costs as his case moves forward.
THE REASON: We are all connected by a mutual love for Sam, a man who has a kind word for everyone that crosses his path, who beams with confident energy, who goes out of his way to help others. He is a gifted musician and a fierce friend. It’s heartbreaking to hear that he has not been able to feel sunlight or hug any of his loved ones.
