Help San Antonio Volleyball Players Recover from Tragedy
Donation protected
The San Antonio Empire Volleyball family is heartbroken to share the tragedy that fell upon one of our teams while in Reno for the NCVA Far Western tournament.
Players Ellie, Emma (sisters), Anjoli, and Addison were riding with Anjoli’s mother, tia (aunt), and grandmother when a box truck rear-ended them, flipping their car on its roof. Everyone sustained various levels of injury: Addison and Ellie were both ejected from the vehicle. Addison needed numerous stitches and broke her foot which will require multiple surgeries. Ellie suffered life-threatening injuries including a brain bleed, broken femur, and extensive external injuries. She has an unimaginable recovery ahead of her, including an unknown number of surgeries to help heal her body. Anjoli has a spinal compression fracture. Emma, Anjoli’s mother and tía also sustained various injuries. Unfortunately, Anjoli’s grandmother passed away.
Any funds collected will be distributed to the families to support them in their physical recovery, returning Anjoli’s grandmother to SA and funeral planning, and other support so the families can care for their children. This account is hosted by SA Empire and will be the only one from our club. Club owner Modonna Brown will receive fund transfers and distribute all funds to the families of Ellie, Emma, Anjoli and Addison.
Thank you to our volleyball community in San Antonio, Texas, Nevada, and across the nation for supporting these three families.
