Help Sandra Metcalf recover from Hurricane Ian

Hello. My name is Jessica Scott. My mother, Geniece Kirtlink, and I are trying to raise funds to help Sandra (Kirtlink) Metcalf (my aunt & my mom's sister) recover from Hurricane Ian. As her 'Missouri family' it is our goal to raise as much as possible to ease the financial and emotional burden that the hurricane has created for her. As a loving, caring aunt and sister who has helped so many in their time of need we hope we can help her in her time of need.

As many of you may know, Sandy has a home in Ft. Myers, Florida which is on a canal that leads directly into the Gulf of Mexico. Needless to say, her home didn't stand a chance. Cherished family heirlooms, photos, personal belongings are forever gone not to mention all home furnishings, furniture and appliances have been destroyed. The insides of her home have to be fully gutted and all contents thrown to the trash.

Although many structures and homes look intact the magnitude of the 10-12 ft storm surges & flooding left all homes it engulfed a total loss. Many news outlets have shown the devastating before and after pictures of Ft. Myers Beach but do not show the immense scope of all those in Southwest Florida who were impacted. With homes sitting for 2-3 days full of salt water, nasty sludge, bacteria, snakes, etc. all contents are ruined and homes are uninhabitable.

All funds raised will go toward her immediate needs, such as daily living expenses, gas, food, clothing as well as future needs to help rebuild her home. As too many have found out, FEMA and insurance only goes so far.

Any donation would be a blessing and provide a sense of support and survival as well as helping to alleviate some of the stress she is under while navigating these unimaginable times.
