HELP SANDY SAVE CHILDREN FROM DROWNING
Dear Friends, Family and Community Members,
Anyone who knows me know my love of babies and swimming. As a young adult I was a life guard and swim instructor, in the US Navy I taught recruits to float, dive and tread water, I have taught countless kids to swim including my own son and as a result, for most of my life my dream job has always been to run a community pool and teach kiddos how to swim.
After much consideration during the downtime of the pandemic, I have decided to make at least a portion of that dream a reality. And while I haven't seen many community pools for sale on the real estate market, I do have an opportunity to learn and become a master instructor for "INFANT SWIMMING RESOURCES" or ISR for short. It is an amazing life saving swimming technique taught to children, as young as 6 months, to potentially save their lives in the event of falling into water alone.
The course is extensive and costly but I have the desire and determination to provide lessons to the children of any parent who understands and believes in its importance. The ISR instructor course normally costs $12,500.00, but I have applied for ISR's $4,500.00 scholarship and I am asking you to support me in the remaining $8,000.00 cost. Once I am in receipt of the scholarship and after my course training, I will be expected to provide free lessons to at least 10 children during the first 2 years of my certification. Please reach out to me if you would like your child to be one of the lucky recipients of free lessons. Ultimately I also intend to create a non-profit and provide private lessons for either drastically reduced costs or for free (when necessary) because I 100% believe this potentially life saving skill should be available to EVERY CHILD and should never be cost prohibitive.
It is difficult to ask for donations in any circumstance so if you know me, you know this is not an easy request for me to make. But quite honestly, this is something that I am so passionate about and I really believe in saving the lives of children. Thank you for your consideration and generosity.
