Help Saniya's Family Rebuild After Tragedy

On Monday,July 1, my 6 year-old daughter, Saniya Felton lost her life in a tragic house fire. This is an extremely vulnerable and emotional time for my family and I. I could have never imagined losing any of my children. Saniya was my only daughter – my youngest child. Anyone that knows me, knew that she was my mini person. As I write this I am thinking of all of the fun times we spent together and the massive void that I will live with forever. My son and I watched the house burn down, as we stood there helpless. It goes without saying that our lives will never be the same.

While trying to process how my life, my son’s life, and my family and friends lives has now changed with this unimaginable loss; I am also grieving the loss of our home. My son and I are currently homeless and without shelter and any other necessary possessions. I am asking for any donations that could assist with funeral expenses and to help us to house, feed, and cloth ourselves for the next few months as we try to navigate this tough time.

We appreciate any and all support possible. I’d like to express gratitude to the First Responders for their bravery and action. I’d also like to thank our community and family members who have stepped in during this time.
