Help Sara and Katie Rebuild After Fire

Help us survive the year.

The Palisades fire has taken so much from everyone. My mother, Sara Shuman, age 60, and myself (Katie {Seven} Duke), age 23, and our two dogs are left homeless with our house burned down in the Palisades Highlands. Thankfully, we are all safe, but the feeling of loss is incredibly overwhelming.

We were trapped with the two evacuation roads up in flames and couldn't grab much while figuring out the logistics of how to leave. We lost everything. My mother has been pouring all her savings into paying off our condo the past few years since we don't have expendable income, and now our home is a pile of ash and rubble.

As we try to navigate our day-to-day journey of rebuilding our life from scratch, we're reaching out for help. Anything will give relief in the coming days and weeks, letting us hold out a little bit longer. Every dollar helps cover immediate needs like food, clothing, pet supplies, and the expenses of finding a safe place to stay.
