Help Sara Buy a Car!

Hi friends! I'm Sara a 20 year old, low income, black college student.....and I need a car. I live in a tiny apartment with my family. Quarantining in my unstable household has taken a severe toll on my mental health and my relationship with my parent. I need a car to have a way to get out if things get worse. It is also be helpful to not have to depend on my parent for rides since they're really controlling and weaponize that against me. 

I'm looking at a few used cars from people in my town but my decision on which car I would get depends 100% on the money I have.

Ideally I will raise enough to afford the sticker price, tax, registration fees and extra for any maintenance.  Any extra funds will go towards car insurance and gas until I go back to school in the fall and get an on campus job.
