Help Sara Payne kick Cancer's @$$

On August 22nd, 2022, Sara Payne elected to take herself to urgent care for a chest X-ray for a cough she couldn’t shake. The finding of a large mass in the mediastinum anterior part of her chest led her to the ER for additional testing. Sara got a CT scan which revealed multiple tumors in her chest. The biopsy results concluded the diagnosis of Classic Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer, Nodular Sclerosis subtype.

For those who know Sara, you know she is a person with a heart of gold. For those who don't know Sara, think of the biggest ray of sunshine you can be blessed to have in your life. Sara is a mother to her 8-month-old son Jackson, the loving sister of Lindsay and Alan (Buddy), daughter to Alan SR., a friend to many, and a social worker for differently abled adults. Sara is one of those people you will meet once in your life and be impacted by forever.

Sara received her Master's degree in Social Work from Rutgers University. She received her undergraduate degree in Family and Child Studies with a Concentration in Family Services from Montclair State. Sara has always loved to help others. She founded a scholarship and awarded money to high school seniors in honor of her late mother, Lynn Payne, who lost her battle with ALS in October 2012. While her mom had ALS, Sara was her mother's caregiver. She has gone on to raise and donate funds to ALS Association and has participated in multiple walks. Sara works for a non-profit as a Support Coordinator. Sara puts her heart and soul into helping her clients and families to identify all services, tools, resources and the appropriate level of care needed; for her clients to receive every opportunity to live their lives to the fullest. She is always helping others; now it’s time for us to help her.

We are seeking to raise money for Sara to assist with various facets of life in the coming months, including Chemotherapy treatment costs, all medical costs associated with this diagnosis and household/living expenses while she is undergoing Chemotherapy.
