Help Sarah after unexpectedly losing insurance

Hi friends, I’m Calen. I’m reaching out and asking for support for my best friend, Sarah. As some of you may know, our house caught fire in the middle of March. We have since moved and thought the worst was behind us. As it turns out, the week we spent living out of hotels, getting new housing in order, cleaning/ packing up our salvageable belongings, and processing the shock of what happened, Sarah missed JUST enough work to make her ineligible for the dental insurance she had through her job at Eat Well. As of April 24th when Sarah scheduled her first dental appointment for a couple teeth that had been bothering her, she had insurance. That first appointment was Tuesday May 24th. I sat in the waiting room and listened while a very helpful receptionist and Sarah talked to her insurance company and she learned that as of May 1st, she no longer had dental insurance. Union reps and Schnucks HR have basically told her she is out of luck.

Sarah has a double root canal scheduled for June 6th. The absolute minimum it’s going to cost is $4,500. I’ve set the goal at $6,000 for any other expenses that this will inevitably incur and to allow her to take an appropriate amount of time off of work for healing after the procedure.

Sarah has brought joy and so much laughter to so many of us. She works harder than most anyone I know and deserves some relief. Please consider donating whatever you can, every dollar is just a little weight off of her shoulders. Thank you!!!❤️
