Help Sarah and Charmander's Journey Home

I'm Sarah, and my dog Charmander and I are newly homeless, and trying to get home.

Charmander and I have been having the worst few years lately. And after being out of work for over a month thanks to a very bad case of covid late last year, I got behind on bills and had to leave my apartment in June. I then moved me and Charmander into my van.

It has been non-stop issues since. We had a camping toilet leak sewage everywhere, the bed broke and broke open a propane can we had to remove everything in the van in the middle of the night to find, it's been too hot to leave charmander in the van so I can go to job interviews, and too cloudy to charge any of our electrical stuff.

We thought we found a temporary place to stay in a dilapidated house that is being renovated. We were offered a mostly free stay in exchange for cleaning and some renovation work, but Charmander found some rat poison while I was at a job interview and upended our last chance plans.

We just spent our last $200 at the emergency vet getting her some induced vomitting and a charcoal goo.

Now our only real option is to go back to California ASAP. The van isn't working out and I can't leave her in this house because who knows what she'll get into. We have a place to stay back home in California, it's just 2000 miles away and we have don't have gas money. I want to get Charmander the meds we can't afford and get back home so we can start fresh and I can finish my associate's degree there.

Any amount to help us get home would help, as we have absolutely nothing right now. The full amount will get charmander's meds, pay off what we owe on the van, and get us home.
