Help Sarah and Odette Rebuild After Hurricane Milton

Hi, my name is Jess and I am requesting your help and donation to support my friend Sarah and her 4 year old daughter Odette through this unexpected difficult time.

I’ve known Sarah since 2012. We met when I moved to Washington State and while much has changed in our lives over the years, she has remained one of my closest friends. Sarah is an incredible person, with a big heart and the ability to cheer up anyone with her quick wit and hilarious sense of humor. She has been there for me through ups and downs and while I know it’s not easy for her to ask for help, I am certain if I was in this same situation she’d be doing the same for me.

Sarah and Odette live in Tampa, Florida and their apartment was recently severely damaged by hurricane Milton. Being in a bottom floor unit, they experienced extreme flooding and the unit has already started to develop mold, making the apartment uninhabitable. The terrible condition of their home has resulted in them needing to relocate immediately. Unplanned expenses continue racking up as Sarah and Odette need to prepare quickly for an unexpected move.

In the flood all their living room furniture was destroyed. They lost pantry and refrigerated food, along with many household items. The amount of total damage has still not yet been determined.

No one should have to recover from a natural disaster alone. Therefore, I would like to help raise $5,550 so Sarah and Odette can relocate without financial stress. The $5,550 will cover security deposits, supplies and a temporary storage unit while they look for a place to live.

Right now the goal is to get as many items out of the apartment before the mold damage gets worse. Fortunately, they have temporary housing with a friend for now but they still need to act fast.
