Help Sarah, Andy & Mavis Get On The Road Again

For the past 11 years, I’ve been touring the country in my trusty Scion XB, affectionately known as the "Toaster." This little car has been more than just a vehicle; it’s been my green room, hotel room, and safe space. From the Carolinas to Key West, Vermont to California, the Toaster has faithfully carried me and my music music across the nation.)

Five years ago, a tall, handsome rock-and-roller named Andy Beckey walked into my life—and into my car. Our adventures together in the Toaster began. Then three years ago, our family expanded with the addition of Mavis, our 90-pound Greater Swiss Mountain Dog. Mavis quickly became an essential part of our touring family, riding alongside us on national tours. Collectively we’ve put over 600,000 miles on our vehicles touring our music.

Andy has been working hard in Nashville for years, striving to reach new heights with his music. With his debut album now out and a talented band behind him, the only thing holding him back is the lack of an appropriate tour vehicle. His Toyota Tacoma, like the Toaster, is nearing the 300,000-mile mark and is simply not big enough to haul our little family, his band and all their gear. With a new van, Andy will finally be able to realize his true goal—world domination through music!

On our last tour in the Toaster, we broke down on the highway yet again. The repairs needed to get it roadworthy now surpass the car’s value. The Toaster, once a symbol of our musical journey, has reached the end of its road. The three of us, along with our musical gear, have been busting at the seams, and now the Toaster is too busted to carry on.

As full-time independent musicians, we rely heavily on our vehicle to get us to our shows. Whether it’s me and my cello or Andy and his band, the show must go on. We are now ready to embark on our next adventure with a new and more suitable touring vehicle, but we need your support to make this dream a reality.

We’re asking for help to get a Ford Transit XLT high roof van. This vehicle is perfect for our needs, providing the space and safety required for our tours. Plus, it’s the only van tall enough for Andy to stand in! We’re reaching out to our community to help us raise as much of a down payment as possible. This will make the monthly car payments more achievable, allowing us to continue our musical journeys without financial strain.
