Help Sarah Anne & Ezra Face Challenges After Eaton Fire
Donation protected
Sarah Anne and her son Ezra are facing multiple challenges at once after the devastating Eaton Fire. Their home, which is tucked one block under the mountain, suffered smoke damage during the fire. It is going to take a lot of work to make the house safe to live in again, especially since Ezra has asthma.
While Sarah Anne has a wonderful and supportive family, besides Ezra, Sarah Anne has no family members on the West Coast. So as her community of friends, let’s come together to be that local family.
Right before the fire, Sarah Anne and Ezra’s beloved cat Milk was diagnosed with cancer, even though she is only 6 years old and otherwise quite healthy. The treatments are a financial strain and now a logistical strain, given that they are evacuated.
Also right before the fire, Ezra’s asthma flare-ups have gotten much worse, landing him in urgent care with pneumonia more than once, for weeks on end.
Because of Ezra’s asthma and because the smoke and ash in their home is carcinogenic, it’s not clear when they’ll be able to move back into their home, or what will need to be replaced to ensure it's safe.
All of these costs add up and Sarah Anne is the only adult in her household, so let’s help this true gem of a human recover from this recent spate of calamities. Anyone who knows Sarah Anne and Ezra loves them. They are some of the most generous and kind humans around, and we’d like to give back to them in their time of need. Thanks so much for your help. ❤️
