Sarah Espinoza’s home recovery

Please help my dear friend and colleague Sarah Espinoza recover from loosing her family home that she lived in with her mother and daughter.

Sarah has been an essential community leader throughout her life working at non-profits including Side Street Projects (twice) the Downton Women’s Center, and Tree People. We both lost our home in the fires, and she has remained wise and resilient throughout. Just this morning she brought me to my knees with this article about how giant sequoias need fire to grow with the statement “Sometimes what seems devastating serves a greater purpose”

This beautiful human has dedicated her life to serving our community including the houseless community. Please help three generations of her family continue to be resilient.

Funds from this fundraiser will go towards costs not covered by Insurance and FEMA.

Despite the fact that her home was burned to the foundation, her small camper survived with some damage.

In the immediate she is working to repair the camper but her family has a long journey ahead.

“In the blink of an eye, like a majority of our community, Amora and I have lost our home.

Our truck camper is still standing, but it has sustained wind and fire damage.

I need to fix it as soon as possible.

If a monetary donation is not possible, I would greatly appreciate donations of time and skills in the following areas:

- Locksmith (Our keys melted in the fire)

- Camper Manual Jacks (I would love to install electric jacks if possible)

- Auto Body Paint (Tar has splattered all over from when our roof exploded)

- Construction/Cabinetry (I need storage drawers that make better sense for long-term use)

- Interior Painter

- Electrician (To check the wiring since the exterior lights melted)
