Help Sarah Fight Cancer – Urgent Support Needed

Hi my name is Tia Parisi - Mercer I have made this page to help raise donations for my beautiful cousin & first best friend who is in great need of financial aid to help fight the Big C!

Sarah Irvine, a single mother of two teenagers, has been an active member of the Cobar community for most for her life, a sporting team member & being involved in many sporting committees.

Now living in Dubbo, Sarah has unfortunately had to sell her home to suit her limited mobility & give up her working life as she has been bravely battling cancer since May 2022.

Initially diagnosed with cervical cancer, she underwent radiation and chemotherapy, which showed promising results. However, in August 2023, the cancer spread to her lungs, leading to a devastating setback.

Despite trying multiple treatments, nothing worked and the tumours continued to grow. Now, Sarah is undergoing chemotherapy with a drug called Trodelvy, which offers hope—but at a heartbreaking cost.

While this drug is covered under the PBS for breast cancer patients, it is not subsidised for her condition.

This means Sarah is being forced to pay $12,200 every three weeks for her treatment, an unbearable financial burden for a single mother who is now unable to work.

Trodelvy so far has shown promising results for Sarah with her tumours shrinking on the last scan in January 2025 & improving her quality of life. Further treatment will continue to come at a cost but may provide Sarah more positive results!

Sarah has fought so hard, but now she needs our help. No one should have to choose between life-saving treatment and financial ruin. Every donation, no matter how small, will help ease the crushing cost of her medical care.
