Help Sarah fund her studies in the UK

Hi there! My name is Sarah. I'm a young chemical engineer born and raised in the Dominican Republic. I've lived here my entire life and I am happy to call this place home.

 

 

I have recently been offered a once in a lifetime opportunity to study a Master's degree in Advanced Materials Engineering at one of Scotland's best universities, starting this January 2022. Studying abroad has been, if not, my most ambitious dream, and I have been saving up for it ever since I got my first job at 19.

 

While I am extremely grateful to have my tuition and basic living expenses fully covered through a scholarship, it's sad to say I am unable to cover the incredibly expensive visa and insurance fees as well as plane tickets from Santo Domingo, DR to Edinburgh, UK. I will also be needing a computer that will be able to run engineering software, as my 9-year-old one currently does not meet the minimum specifications.

 

This field of study, which is often underrated, is a key to the development of a sustainable society and a better quality of life, and I would truly appreciate your collaboration to achieve this dream of mine and bring back the unvaluable knowledge and experience to a country that really needs it to advance. No matter how small your contribution, even if it is just sharing, truly helps.
