Help Sariah Martinko’s Recovery

Sariah Martinko is an amazing mom to two wonderful boys. She loves with everything she has! She spent most of her time on the volleyball court with countless friends and family! She is strong and fierce and determined to make it through this.

On the night of June 19th, for reasons we still and may never know, Sariah Martinko was shot in the face by her fiancé. He committed suicide after calling 911. That call saved her life. ❤️‍ Sariah is ALIVE and stable, She is beyond tough and is a fighter!but has a long road of healing ahead. She has lost her right eye and they are trying to save her left eye. By the GRACE of GOD, she has no brain damage or spinal cord damage. Her road to recovery is not going to be quick or easy..she will need several reconstructive surgeries to her face and they will be in phases.. So that means a long recovery.. They will remove her right eye and reconstruct her eye sockets, both of them. Then reconstruction of her forehead and the base of her frontal lobe. Then she will need surgery to remove the bullet. Then when that heals she will need surgery to try to attach the eye muscles and tendons. There will be at least a month or more of rehab for PT and OT. Then she will come home. They are saying there could be facial surgeries for awhile to repair all the bones and cartilage. So much still unknown and to go through.
