Help Sarresa Walk Again: Support Her MS & CIDP Battle
Donation protected
My sister, Sarresa, has recently been diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis), which is a chronic progressive disease of the central nervous system, and CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyradiculneuropathy), which is a rare auto immune disorder.
For over a year already, Sarresa has been essentially paralyzed from the waist down. Her upper body is also very weak and getting weaker.
She has started on a few new treatments for these issues and we are very hopeful that someday she will once again be able to walk and take care of herself more.
For now, I am taking care of her on my own full time.
At this point she is unable to leave the house, unless it is for treatments or certain appointments that can't be handled at home via phone/video calls. When she does have to go out for appointments she is transferred with a stretcher transport because she is too weak and unstable at this point to even use her motorized scooter. Hopefully her new treatments will help get her back to being somewhat mobile in her scooter.
We are hoping to purchase a transfer chair for her so we will be able to have her ride in the car.
With Sarresa on a limited income now due to not being able to work and only receiving disability, we have also been paying for a lot of supplies she needs that are not covered by insurance. We've been able to keep up on these expenses for now, however, the transfer chair is a bit more pricey. We would greatly appreciate any help that anyone can give. Even sharing this would mean the world to us and Sarresa. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for any help you are willing to give.
