Help Sasa Recover from Heart Attack

On September 8th, 2021, my stepfather Sasa Vukosavljevic, had a heart attack on the street in Florence, South Carolina. In panic, Sasa had to tell a pedestrian to call 911 immediately, which later saved his life.

 

Sasa was transported by ambulance urgently to McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC for an emergency operation of an angioplasty of the left atrium (where they had to place a stent in order to expand his artery due to myocardial infarction). The stent was placed at location of infarction of the left atrium. Due to the high risk of his condition, he was placed in the intensive care unit after the procedure for 7 days, where he was under watch for any reactions to the stent. Upon completion of the left atrial angioplasty, his heart was at 34% efficacy, and currently, heart is at 62%.

While Sasa is improving, unfortunately the hospital and ambulance services have charged him over $180,000 for the procedure and all services, and after weeks of trying to settle, we have gotten it down to $45,000. Unfortunately, due to his inability to still return back to work, he is needing any bit of help possible in order to pay off some of these medical debts due to this emergency. If there is any little bit anyone can help with, it is very much appreciated we are having a lot of trouble catching up and cannot lower the charges further.

8 Septembra 2021 godine moj očuh Saša Vukosavljević je doživeo srčani udar. U panici, Saša je naglo počeo da gubi dah i prolaznicima je zatrazio da mu pozovu hitnu pomoć. Brzom reakcijom svih ljudi koji su mu pomogli, uspeo je na vreme da stigne u bolnicu gde su mu odmah operisali srce i ugradi stent. Bio je prevezen u bolnicu McLeod Regional Medical Center u Florence SC. Zbog rizicnog stanja u kom je bio, morao da ostane na intenzivnoj nezi u bolnici jos 7 dana. Nakon sto su mu ugradili stent, srce mu je bilo na 34% kapaciteta, a nakon 2 meseca oporavka, trenutno je na 62% kapaciteta. Dok se Saša oporavlja, ipak ga čekaju izuzetno visoki bolnički troškovi za koje Saša nije spreman da plati sam, a pritom neće moći da radi punim kapacitetom. Njegovi troškovi nakon operacije iznosili su $180.000 koje smo uspeli da smanjimo na $45.000. Ipak i to je izuzetno mnogo para. Hvala svima koji podrže ovu akciju. Svaka pomoć je dobrodošla.
