Help Sasi's Family with Funeral and Medical Costs

On September 11, 2024, my spouse of 22 years, Warana Tripurasasi (Sasi), passed away after a long struggle with breast cancer.

Sasi was originally diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in January 2019. After chemotherapy, mastectomy, and radiation, we thought she was cancer-free. However, in August 2023, we found her cancer had come back and metastasized to her bones. While she initially received treatment that kept the cancer in check, in July 2024, we found that she had developed leptomeningeal disease, meaning the disease had entered her brain and spinal column. We took aggressive action to try to get the cancer in check, but she succumbed to the disease on September 11, 2024.

Sasi leaves behind her husband and two teenage sons, Dylan (19) and Nicholas (16). We intend to use all funds raised through this GoFundMe to cover funeral costs and cover outstanding expenses related to her treatment.

Because during her life, Sasi was significantly influenced by the legacy of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini in her service to the poor, sick, underprivileged, and migrant population, a percentage of funds raised will also be donated to the Cabrini Mission Foundation.
