Help Sassy Get Back on her Hooves

Sassy is a 29-year old Morgan mare who was born when Alison was 11-years old. Sassy was Alison's show horse who later traveled with her to college and retired as a trail buddy. They've taken long rides in several states and have had many late night talks about work and and marriage and kids and just life in general. Sassy was the star of Alison and Lynn's engagement photos, one of which is pictured here. Recently, Sassy started having a tough time walking. It appears she is fighting laminitis which can be debilitating. Alison has had multiple vets working on the case, refusing to give up the fight for answers and potential treatment. After all the weight Sassy has carried over nearly 3 decades of rides, it's now Alison's turn to return the favor.
