Help Savannah after devastating accident!
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Dawn, and I'm hoping to source some money to help my god daughter bounce back and recover after a devastating car accident. Please help with anything you can and/or help us spread the word!
On the morning of July 4th, Savannah was driving to work and ended up in a very serious car accident. If you know Savannah, or her mom Tiisha, you know why we're just hearing about this now. Savannah, just like her mom, is fiercely independent and they have tried together to just push through doing everything they could without relying on anyone else. With recent news that her injuries will keep her out of work through the end of October at latest update, the time has come that all their savings and resources are depleated. PLEASE help me pull together help for Savannah so they both can breathe a little easier.
A little more about Savannah's injuries...
Savannah was taken immediately to University of Toledo hospital where she was rushed into surgery with a fractured C7 vertebra, a fractured 8th rib on her right side, a severe compound fracture of her right fibula and tibia, a talus tarsal fracture in her right foot, along with all the usual bumps, bruises, cuts, scrapes, strains, stress and embarrassments of it all.
Savannah underwent emergency surgery, multiple casts and braces, spent a week in the hospital and over 2 weeks in a rehabilitation center learning to function with a full torso neck brace along with not being able to put any weight on her right leg which is now filled with a metal rod and attachments. She was able to go home in August but has just recently been able to put any weight on her right leg. She is now on a journey of physical therapy and learning how to deal with the aftermath of her injuries- like how to get around with minimal impact to her injured right leg and how to protect her still healing neck fracture.
This all is accompanied of course, by the blow to her pride of being a fiercely independent human and the traumatic PTSD that accompanies such a life altering event.
Savannah's last DR appointment with the news that she will have an even longer wait to get back to work has her drained and defeated mentally and financially.
Please... Help me get her some funds to make sure her rent is paid, her lights stay on, and bills can be paid as she spends a little longer healing... AND help take the pressure off her and her Mom so they can focus on appreciating the fact this too shall pass.
