Help Save a Family Owned Restaurant - Gather

Hi friends & family!

My name is Shannan & I have created this GoFundMe page to help save an amazing restaurant that is near & dear to my heart.

Gather, located in Pembroke, MA is one of the only black owned restaurants in the South Shore area. They opened in 2017 and have been an amazing family staple for breakfast & brunch. It truly is a welcoming place for family and friends to GATHER.

Chef Shelton Perkins & his wife Jaime, along with their two children are amazing friends of mine who have quickly become more like family! With that being said, I could not just sit by and watch Gather slowly fall apart after working so hard to make it through the pandemic.

Believe it or not, during the pandemic they were serving the most guests they’d ever had during the week vs the weekends. The pandemic caused us all to slow down and just spend time with loved ones. Now with the pandemic over and people going back to their everyday lives, their business has dropped dramatically. Imagine adding in the rising inflation & the current economy and you can imagine how this small family business is struggling to keep their doors open.

The Perkins family are so loving & kind. They love being apart of the South Shore community & they try to give back as much as they can. They hold fund raisers, feed people who are hungry & cannot afford a meal, and also participate in local events. This faith filled family relies on the community and its regulars to keep their restaurant doors open & so it’s time for us to step up as a community to help them out the way they’ve helped so many others.
